Here you see a few of the girls awaiting their turn to get pregnancy tested. I wonder if they are feeling nervous and excited to find out if they are going to have a baby? ;)
Here one gal is waiting for the vet {see him there} to give her the news. "Positive--due late May!!" She doesn't look too excited...I think she just needs to let the good news soak in. :)
Many people have their calves born in March but we chose to have ours in May when it is a little warmer. May cannot come soon enough for me this year. May signifies many things....the end of the school year, new babies, planting my gardens.....sigh....please May....come quickly!
I am so glad for a day off from school....good to keep my babies at home. ;) We are gonna have a nice day....My Farmer and Jr Farmer will be heading off later on this evening to meet the Minnesota Twins Caravan....they already have a baseball to get autographed!! The rest of us are going to head to town and go out to eat....we all should have a nice time. :)

ReplyDeleteMay is your month too? Thats usually when we go back to work in the woods as the snow should be out in the Black Hills...
And the Minnesota twins rock!
I can't wait for May to see the baby pictures. How many are expecting? I also can't wait for May and its much warmer weather. Take Care :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be different at our farm this year because we sold the bulk of our cattle herd this fall. All the range cows 250 in total. So there will not be as many calves running around this spring.
ReplyDeleteAwww...don't you just love babies? My brand of choice is baby horse, but cows are cute too! Our babies don't come until February or March..
