Autumn Fun!

When you see me in the fields,
My orange glowing in the sun,

It's time to say goodbye to summer
and hello to autumn fun!!

Thanks to all of you who have stopped by...oh how I love all your comments! You may not believe it but your comments really just make my day! :) The weather here has been wonderful for harvesting...so that is a good thing!

I have been keeping an eye on my pumpkin patch. My pumpkins are slowly turning a beautiful deep orange. A few of them are still really green though. That's okay....I know they will change eventually!

Are you having any Autumn fun? If so....what have you been doing? I would love to hear all about it. :)

  3. Pumpkins are one of the few things I did get from the garden this year. Only a few. But beggars can't be choosers, right?
Too much work here right now, but the fun is coming. Soon, I hope!!!

  7. Hoping to get pumpkins from my BFF. Squash bugs got my gourds this year. We're in the middle of soybean harvest right now. He's cutting and hauling and I'm keeping the home fires burning and feeding him.

  8. I love that you have pumpkins growing right in your backyard. We have had no luck with them.

I love fall and am so eager to go to our nearby pumpkin patch with my little one.

  9. All our punkins died because the squash bugs got them. All we got was a few gourds. *sigh*
I'm glad yours are so beautiful, though!

  10. I used to grow pumpkins in California. I grew two giant ones once and I adored them. I have a *thing* for pumpkins. :)

For Autumn fun so far my daughter and I have done a little decorating, mostly inside the house. And I have been taking pictures of the trees in our neighborhood, I just love Autumn!

I can't wait to get up to Rock Creek Farm for our annual pumpkin picking. They opened last weekend! This will be our 9th year visiting.

However, we are enjoying the cool weather, festivals and beatiful colors that fall always ushers in.

  14. Such a nice pumpkin patch you have. We have finally started having a few cooler days here on our farm. We didn't plant a pumpkin patch this year and I really do miss having one...so I just bought from a local farmer's market. Not quite a fun but at least it supports a local farmer.

  18. Nice pumpkins! One of my favorite things to eat. No, no Autumn things going on here yet. We just finished with drenching rains and high humidity. Last night it just started to cool down. Hoping Fall hits like gangbusters soon so I can work more on the quilt. Thanks for always checking on me. xxoo

  19. I love pumpkins! wish I could grow some but I don't really have time i don't think, and getting anything other than grass to grow here in Gumbo country is tough! Not much is going on here save for fall vaccinating of the calves, which we finished today!
