I am just sitting here...wishing the weekend would not be over. I love having our children home from school. We had a great Thanksgiving with my parents and hubby's parents. It was nice. We missed Grandma but we knew she was having a wonderful Thanksgiving in heaven too.
We stayed home most of the weekend. I am still working on putting our house back together after the carpet was put in. Now, I am working on decking the halls! ;)
So far we have one tree up. Thought I would share it with you. This is our tree in the living room.
I thought this picture turned out kinda cool...so I am showing it too. :)
I have some yummy recipes scheduled to post this week...so do come back!!
Hope you had a wonderful long weekend. What did you do? Did you start decorating for Christmas too? Please make sure to say HI! :)
Your tree looks great!
ReplyDeleteWe spent the weekend just doing whatever we wanted..with no schedules or have to do things. It was great!
Can't wait to get the next few weeks in so we can do it all over again with the next holiday.
Beautiful tree!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have ours up yet. I put up a few decorations and a string of lights in the living room so far.
I can't believe the weekend is already over, tear. Can't wait for a Christmas break.
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas tree. I put out a few things but I am waiting on getting the tree up...maybe we will do it tomorrow.
Red and Gold with white lights are my absolute favorite! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat is a BIG beautiful tree. Looks like lots of work. Glad you had a great holiday. I too got everything up yesterday and will post about it this week. Lots of work, but glad it's done. The kids were lots of help.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great tree!
ReplyDeleteI've been on vacation all week and go back tomorrow. Yuck! I've been shopping and wrapping all the gifts for family. Haven't decorated much because I'll be with the Sisters over Christmas. Won't have WiFi access while I'm away, so don't worry if I don't post until afterwards. xxoo
You're right, the second photo is very unique!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree! We're doing home renovations and there is no place to put the tree. We have to settle for a little table top one. The only one who seems concerned is my youngest. I think it will all be okay. We can just pretend the construction dust is snow! lol
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas tree is just lovely and I'm sure your home is just beautiful when all decked out in it's holiday finest. Our tree does not get put up till my turkey is digested. LOL We cut our tree the second week of December, but have finish decorating the interior of our home. Looking forward to your recipes. Blessings.

ReplyDeleteSo glad your Thanksgiving was blessed in every single way! And, thanks for sharing your beautiful tree....it's amazing! I Love all the fun new changes to your blog too...like your header, and your signature box...oh, I've been missing out on so much....hoping I get more time to come visit...because I always leave your blog with a smile and warm heart! Sweet blessings!
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas. Your tree is lovely. Mine is always such a mishmash of decorations, some even from the 1940's (before even I was born) made from chenille because everything was in short supply during the war. It's kind of a memory tree I guess, like old quilts made of pieces of material from clothes that folks we love used to wear.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree, gonna try and get ours up this week..we had a great Thanksgiving weekend, the only thing missing was my son who is serving in Afghanistan...take care
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful! I just decorated today.. hopefully we can get a tree this weekend!
