Everybody, meet our newest bull calf. Isn't he just the sweetest thing? Now, here is the problem. We are trying to think of a cute but manly name for him. You know, he is going to grow up to be big and strong ! If you have any ideas please leave it in the comment section! Even if you don't have any ideas I would still at least love to hear a "hello" from you.
Things are busy here. We will hopefully finish up our last field of wheat today. I am hoping that the weather holds out as it is clouding up.
Thank you to all my readers and followers for stopping by! :)
Hercules!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but he looks like a Julio to me. Hope the weather holds up to finish your wheat. My husband was raised in Beardstown, Il and they grew melons. It was always, too hot, too wet, too dry or something. It's a rough life but so worthwhile. I don't even want to think where our country would be without farmers. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe Maverick!or short The Mav!

The Maverick!Strong, but Cute!

Hubs and I always loved the song Woolly Bully, sugar, so I'm suggesting Woolly. ;-)
ReplyDeletexoxo,

What a cute addition.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think of some names. The first that came to mind was Buster but the kids are still pondering a name as they look at his picture.
Cute bull calf!
ReplyDeleteWe finished wheat a few weeks ago and are working on silage now, hoping to finish up today with that!
The nameing of a bull is an important time in it's life. lol. My suggestion would be Bullferd.hehehehe
ReplyDeleteManly, lol. I just watched some Little House on the Prairie and that was the nickname Laura gave her husband, Almonzo. I guess he could also be an Almonzo, haha.
ReplyDeleteHe's totally a Wallace. Wally for short.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little guy. He is adorable and looks like milk chocolate fudge. You could call him fudge.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, it is fun to see your farm life.
What a cutie pie! I think he looks like warm carmel. You could call him Carl.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and the goings on at your farm.
Hi, cute calf. How about "Buford" the Bullcalf..or "Cletus"
ReplyDeleteHave a great day ; )
Hey, kiddo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I love your calf. I'm thinking RUSTY!
Remember the story about Ferdinand the Bull? He sat in the shade sniffing flowers...... I loved that story when the kids were little. But I'm still thinking Rusty is a macho name, a cowboy name, a farm name.....
Yep! I vote for Rusty!
★Linda★
I had a steer named Sunshine. But that isn't too manly is it... ;)
ReplyDeleteYay for new babies!
He is so cute. No matter how many we have they are still cute. You could name him Chase.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, one of my favorite books was "Ferdinand, the Bull." He should be named Ferdinand. Have a great day. Julie
ReplyDeleteHe is sure a cute addition. I'll have to think on the name.
ReplyDeleteHope that the weather holds for you also.
We had some wicked storms here last night,.
Hugs
My daughter thinks he looks like a Brownie, but I think he looks too reddish for that. I like the other commenter's suggestion of Rusty.
ReplyDeleteThose are all cute names...I'm not very good this, so I'll just tell you what I like so far:
ReplyDeleteWooly Bully cracked me up!
bull-winkle! ( I know, I know, bullwinkle was a moose...) lol.. but why could bullwinkle be a bull too?
ReplyDeleteanyways, he is a cutie!

Hello, he is adorable, just gotta love calves! My picks would be Roe Hoe( red in Spanish) or Rigaletto, Rig for short!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kelle
Solomon!! You know he had many wives and concubines!! He is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome fellow. If he is being raised for breeding purposes, then I think Romeo is fitting.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog.
Looks like a little "Stud Muffin" to me! But I'd call him Hank!
ReplyDeleteCute...
Tisha
Aww he sure is cute!!! Sorry I can't help with the name game cause well quite frankly I suck at it LOL!!! But I liked some of the other suggestions!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Bruce--meaning "strong"?
ReplyDeleteHi Tania! Your little bull calf is adorable. I was going to suggest Ferdinand, but I see several already have! :o)

He is so cute - I love calves! I love the smell of their milk as well - it reminds me of winter mornings all bundled up feeding them!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Brutus!

Renata:)
My daughter's steer was named "Tank" this year! I also like "Powerstroke", "Diesel",
ReplyDelete"Brutus"
Your bull calf is beautiful!
How about "Fluffy"! tee hee
ReplyDeleteThat name would be misleading.
Then again, nevermind, it may make him meaner. LOL
Brutus...definitely a Brutus.
ReplyDeleteI miss calving season.
Hey, I have to agree with steph and say... Manly. I used to watch those Little House shows and think it would be a great name. lol Take Care :)
