Tis the season for MUD!

It's no secret....
I have spring fever....
BUT
what I didn't tell you
is that I want to have
spring without the
muddy mess that comes
with spring here on
the farm!!

I have MUD in my garage &
MUD all the way up the stairs
that go into my MUD room.

Now, the rest of my family
nearly state that it is
in fact a mud room....
so I guess it's okay to
have muddy footprints and
big chunks of mud
hanging out on the floor!

I shouldn't complain, I know.
The temps have been warm.
The piles of snow are melting.
(making sloppier mud)

This is my spring...
I should be used to it by now!

Hope your spring
is mud free!
Is it??? Let me know!

Farmchick
Tune in Thursday
for a new recipe!!

  1. We don't really have the mud now where we are it is a very sandy soil, but it sticks to shoes like mud.
We need some moisture here and I hope we get some in the form of rain.
    God bless.
    Happy St.Patrick's day to you!!
    God bless

  2. I would love to have the MUD problem instead of the dust and pollution from the city. Have you seen your chair emerge yet? Happy St. Patrick's Day! xxoo

  3. Well, in order to have mud you need moisture; I think we've had our quota for the year...all 2 inches of it. So, no mud.

How's that little snow-gauge chair doing?

I'm off to Arkansas on Thursday; I'll catch up with your posts when I return on March 25th.

Take care and try to stay dry!

  4. Finally, I think the mud & muck are drying up here...I've now switched from my high muck boots to my low ones :D Your post totally made me laugh, as I envisioned it :D But, one good thing is...when there is mud, it means it won't be long before Spring comes! Sweet blessings!

  5. Well as an empty nester you'd think we'd be mud free but hubby manages to bring mud in too! LOL Only we don't have a mudroom so it ends up on my hardwood floor!UGH!!

But if this is the price for nice weather - I'll take it.

  7. I love the music ... takes me back to my roots - country and Texan.
Speaking of Texas, my Mom would love to have all that mud - would mean some relief to their drought.
It's been raining here - but all the clover keeps any mud off the shoes. I am SICK of pulling clover out of flower beds.

  8. We've had lots and lots of rain, so YES, we have lots and lots of mud, too! I'm not complaining, though. The past few years we've dealt with extreme drought conditions in the summer and fall. I'm praising God for the rain! :o)

  11. It rained for 4 days here in SC.
So I'm with ya on the mud. It's gonna take days for this to dry up. But I won't complain, we still need more rain to bring us out of the drought conditions. Almost there, though.

  12. Oh---I know whatcha mean!! I am in NE Ohio and live in the country--oh that mud! The dogs track it in everywhere before you can stop them, not to mention the hubby and kids! My garage and mudroom are terrible this time of year! I wish it could go from hard frozen ground to lush green grass without the slop and mud!
