I was looking through photos and I found one from our cornfield a few years back...boy oh boy....I can't wait for spring and summer!

Happy Valentine's Day

Strawberry Cupcakes for your Sweethearts

1- 18 1/2 oz white cake mix
3-oz. package strawberry jello
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. oil
1/2 to 1 cup frozen strawberries, sliced and thawed


All you do is combine cake mix, jello mix, eggs, oil and undrained berries. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 325 degrees for 18-23 minutes or until the toothpick tests done. Cool.

Now, I love them plain without frosting--they are simply delish just the way they are. See the bits of strawberries scattered throughout? YUM! I love the pretty pink color of the cake.

If you have children, that's a different story. You know how they L-O-V-E frosting and sprinkles!! SO, for the kiddies you must frost and sprinkle a few of them and let them do some too! I made icing and let it drip down and then put sweet Valentine sprinkles on.

When you are all done show them off to your family, neighbors and friends! They will love the tasty, pretty, pink cupcakes!

Random Photo #3

photo I took at the lake last summer.....good memories of family and fun. A reminder to me that better days are ahead!

If you read my blog you may remember that our youngest has been sick. He was doing better but his c diff colitis has returned. Please pray for him if you are so inclined. If you know anything about c diff you know that it can make you very sick and is very hard to get rid of. It has been a roller coaster ride, to say the least. A difficult journey for our entire family. They treated him with the wrong drug at first (two times). We were finally referred to a specialist who informed us of this. He was then treated with the new drug which helped....he was feeling really good and bouncing off the walls! A little over a week later he was feeling ill again....he is now being treated again but for a longer time to make sure to get all of the c diff spores eradicated.

Farm Photo Friday.....on Saturday....life happened and I didn't get to blog yesterday. :) Here we go!!!

My Farm Photo is one of our tractors...as you can see. ;) Our youngest son calls this tractor "The Big Fella". So, here we have The Big Fella waiting patiently for spring so he can go out in the field and do his job!
