Beef....it's what's for supper!!! ;)

Here on our farm in North Dakota....we say breakfast, dinner or lunch and supper.... These steaks are so delicious...no matter if you have them for dinner or supper!!

Bourbon Street Steaks

  • 6 steaks of your choice
  • 4 tablespoons bourbon
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • Kosher salt, to taste

  • Combine bourbon, brown sugar and pepper. Rub over steaks. Set steaks in refrigerator for at least an hour but the longer the better! Preheat grill. Place steaks on grill and cook until desired doneness. ;) Season to taste with salt and serve!

So, just out of curiousity...what do you call the meal you eat at about 6 pm...supper or dinner? I would love to know....leave me a comment and let me know!

When I saw the question I had to stop and think but I think we usually refer to that meal as dinner, sweetpea. Lunch is lunch and the last meal of the day is dinner. I think supper is a word they use in certain areas of the country, perhaps, the south.

We call it dinner. Not sure when we started calling it that since it was always referred to as supper when I was growing up.

It looks so good and there is nothing better than a homesteak.
They ones we get in the stores are tough and don't have that country taste. I don't know why but when we go to our son's they have home grown meat and it always tastes so much better. It looks like beef is beef!!!

We eat our 'supper' meal when Farm Boy gets in from farmin' after work. Last night that was at eight.

It can range anywhere from Five to nine thirty. Ya just gotta roll with the punches here on the Ponderosa!!! Heeehehehe!

God bless ya and have a great day!

Your steak looks marvelous sweetie! :o)
