Farmchick's Cranberry Apple Pie and my recipe linky party!! Come play. :)

Welcome to Fresh from the Farm Recipe Swap!! I know you all have blogged about the wonderful dishes you have prepared....please share them with us!!!

I am going to get this party started by sharing my Cranberry Apple Pie!!! So festive and the taste is soooooooooooo good--tart yet sweet!

Make your favorite pie crust. :)

Fruit Filling:

2 pounds apples (about 5) cored and sliced. I used Granny Apple this time.
8 ounces fresh or frozen (not thawed) cranberries
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 stick unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch piece

Stir together all fruit filling ingredients except for the butter. Pour into your pie crust. Dot filling with butter. Now you can put on your top crust and crimp.

Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees ; bake 50 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
