Weight Watcher Wednesday ~ Light Fetticcine Alfredo

First off, I must tell you before I forget..........I thought that I had fettuccine in my pantry.....I was wrong. So, I had to use spaghetti. I think you will still get the picture!! :)

We are digging ourselves out after a spring blizzard here yesterday. We only got 10 inches of snow....much better than the predicted 16 inches!!

Light Fetticcine Alfredo

12 ounces uncooked fetticcine or other pasta ;)
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, pressed
3 cups fat-free half and half
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Cook the pasta according to directions. Meanwhile melt the butter and then add the flour. Cook on medium stiring constantly. Cook for several minutes to give the flour a more browned nutty taste. Add garlic. Gradually add the 1/2 and 1/2 . Bring to boil. Cook and stir for 1 - 2 minutes or until thickened. Add parmesan, salt and pepper flakes. Drain pasta. Toss the sauce with the pasta and serve!

I like to add a little more pepper flakes and grind some pepper on my serving! Enjoy!!

Come back Friday for Farm Photo Friday. I would love for you all to get involved with sharing pictures taken on your farm, ranch, in your garden or just out in the country. Stop back Friday to get all the details or scroll back and see my last Friday submissions!! Sorry I didn't get to it last Friday..........I just didn't have the time that day.

Don't forget to leave me a message.........you know how I love to hear from you all!!

Looks great!
I'm a fan of cream sauce on pasta, but I'd prefer not to need a shoe horn and WD40 to get into my summer clothes ;)

Just found your blog and am happy to see that you have WW recipes on it! Do you ever post the point values? I just bought the new points plus cookbook because my daughter has lost 80 lbs doing WW and I've got more than that to lose. Can't wait to try some of your recipes!
