Canning and Painting

So, as I told you in my last post that I was planning on having a 100th post giveaway. Things here on the farm have been quite busy and I am scurrying to get my giveaway goodies together.. I just haven't had the time to get it complete between:

Yes, I am TRYING to get my entry way/mudroom painted. I forgot to take a before picture though. I will post a picture of my completed room....IF that ever happens!! lol



I have also been doing this:


I made pizza sauce with my last batch of ripe tomatoes. I will be picking more tomatoes tonight. I will be making spaghetti sauce with those tomatoes when they are all ripe. This will be my final crop of tomatoes for the year. I sure did get a lot of tomatoes this year and I feel great about getting so much salsa, pizza sauce and soon spaghetti sauce canned to use over the winter.

    I didn't get enough tomatoes this year to even get a good blt.
    Maybe next year we will have better luck.

    Love the red. Hope it all looks good in the end. I'm sure it will. I have more tomatoes, just not sure what to do with them. Maybe more spagh sauce, or maybe I will try pizza sauce.

    Love that paint color! You sure have been busy, would love to be able to can but yet again I'd want the spaghetti sauce to taste like Ragu lol.

    Oh, I love the red.....I need to paint my bedroom, but can not get the gumption to start that project.....Maybe when I see your finished room, I will be inspired...HaHa.

    I did not have any luck with tomatoes this year....in the past we have had more than we can eat....I think something is amiss with the soil.

    Oh, and I think a jar of your homemade goodies would be a perfect give-a-way....that is if I won!

    I have never had homemade spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce before. I've heard it is fabulous.

    Mmmm....I agree with everyone above! Homemade goodies are the best!

    I meant to tell you before now, but your Tex-Mex Pasta Skillet recipe was a huge hit at our house! It was absolutely delicious. Thanks for a great recipe.

    I hope the painitng goes well. I love that color! reminds me of CRANBERRIES! LOL!

    Those apple treats look wonderful. I can almost smell the cinnamon and toasted pecans! I'll definitely have to try that one!

    I have paint and brushes waiting on me for our bedroom...I'm hopeful I'll get to that this weekend.

    Hi; I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know what a supportive kind friend you are! Even though we really just met, you have been so supportive through this incident with my DH; I sure do value your friendship' and if folks want to spend money with folks that are good and ethical; they should buy from you at your shop! I am not sure if you got my replies to your kind comments on my blog; I was trying to send email by having comments sent to my email and then replying individually to each one; but now I worry that maybe some didn't go through?     I also made spaghetti and pizza sauce this year with my tomatoes. It is really good. I froze the spaghetti sauce and canned the pizza sauce. I like your site.
