How do I know that it is time to make
SALSA??
This is the evidence
on my mudroom floor!!
and there is more where
that came from!!! I
have another basket
already picked that
are not quite ready
and more in the
garden just waiting
for the sun to ripen
them to perfection!!
This is what little
Farmchick and I
HAPPY FALL!
I took this picture
this morning. These
trees are in our
shelterbelt behind
our house..I think
It is a foggy, wet day
here which is not
good for combining.
We still have some
flax that is not quite
ripe so we need sun!!
I hope you all have a
wonderful day!
~Farmchick
YUMMY....we love salsa!
ReplyDeleteLook at all that tomato blessings!! If life hands you tomatoes, make salsa! :) I bet it's yummy!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmmm! Love salsa and all the yummy things you can make with tomatoes! Do you like tomato sandwiches? We love them down here. I even put a diced toamto in my tuna salad. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI hope y'all get some sun so the combining can be finished.
Have a great week!
The salsa looks great, but your mudroom..... may I just say, looks A LOT better than mine!
ReplyDeleteCold and foggy here this too morning, really starting to feel like Fall.
Hello Farm Doll---I'm right there with you! Made a batch a few weeks ago....now 100 more to go!! Have a Marvelous week :)
ReplyDeleteI love tomatoes and salsa, we watched the Steeler game yesterday and I took softend cream cheese and added salsa to it, stirred it all together and it is so good with those nice size tortilla chips.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!

The salsa looks delicious! Your tomatoes are beautiful. I also have some trying to ripen on the vine before we get our first frost. I don't see ANY mud in your mudroom, though! :o)
ReplyDeleteLOL Kindra read my mind! The same thing came to my mind.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy a fresh tomato with dinner almost every day. The season is too short!!
Yum Yum.....I love salsa! Next year we're having a garden and that's one thing on the list...the cherry tomatoes....Do you have a wonderful recipe for homemade salsa?
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall (It's beautiful out there on your farm by the way.)
Tammy
Mmmm ... Salsa! Do I smell a recipe coming soon? Yummy! Yours looks fabulous. You and Little Farmchick did a great job. xxoo
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, that salsa looks YUMMY!!!
ReplyDeletea little bit of sunshine for those long winter nights and short days....Mmmmmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteWhat I would give to have a good tomato right now. Especially fresh salsa too!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love salsa and chips.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall!
Thanks for your comments on my blog! And, it's comforting to know that your mudroom does have to be prepared for pics! lol I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one with dirt in my house! :o)
ReplyDeleteYour salsa is beautiful...is that an okay adjective for salsa? Well, yours is so pretty. What fun. We tried to grow tomatoes, but the desert heat 'got them'...we did have a few in January, which was fun. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHey Farmie Girl. Okra, tomotoes, looks like fall harvest time all over the blog world. (I won't ask you to mail me any.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for returning the visit. The invitation is extended to you for a visiting anytime too.
Rick
P.S. We have a mud room too. Very important on the rainy Oregon coast.
Hope you get the sun you need! We don't make hay any more here at the farm but I still get uptight when I see neighboring farms struggling with the weather conditions to get their crops in...guess it's the farmer in me.
ReplyDeleteI wish my tomatoes would look like that. We love salsa and chips.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next year we can get some salsa made.
I sure would like to put some of that salsa on my eggs this morning! If you brought some of your fine home cooking to a Pony Cousin Event, we would induct you into the family! Heck, you are probably related, anyway!
ReplyDeleteYum! I was so looking for a recipe and How-to here!! Looks wonderful. And you can enjoy your salsa into the winter. Yea!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Salsa! You are making my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteSalsa! Did you say Salsa! I love salsa and that looks wonderful!
